First Post!!!

I’m excited for the 2023-24 ISM year! Last week I formed the skeleton of my digital portfolio (the website you’re reading this on right now!). I have created the basic tabs of every section I will need, but I still have to add detail, content, and personality to the website. I touched up on my existing LinkedIn account by adding information, such as last year’s DECA project about AI-powered therapy. I also started a little bit of research into both Machine Learning and specifically Deep Learning. I learned the difference between Machine Learning Engineering, which is designing and testing the systems to utilize a model, and the Data Science side of machine learning, which deals more with the numbers and math behind a model.The other day, I got the opportunity to present in front of the class about myself and my aspirations for this year in ISM. It was very insightful to know where I am lacking in my public speaking skills. This week, I plan to formulate a few interview questions for me to ask a professional in the field. I also want to dive a little deeper into Machine learning applied to healthcare, specifically in diagnosing disease. Overall, I think last week was pretty productive, and I made a lot of progress! This week will be the same and I’m going to accomplish the goals I set out for myself.
