This past weekend was homecoming, and I had an absolutely incredible time catching up with old friends and enjoying the festivities. However, with that chapter now behind me, it's time to refocus and lock in on my goals. This year, I'm more determined than ever to surpass the progress I made last year. To get a head start, I've begun actively expanding my professional network by sending LinkedIn connection requests to machine learning professionals based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. My plan is to engage with them more meaningfully once they accept, by sending personalized messages through LinkedIn DM to foster genuine connections.
Looking ahead, my main focus is on building a more sophisticated final product. I'm not just aiming to improve the model itself; instead, I want to concentrate on creating a more polished and complex encapsulating application. Last year, I poured so much effort into training my convolutional neural network (CNN) that I ended up rushing through the app development phase. In my haste, I resorted to using a random template I found online, which ultimately didn't reflect the quality or depth of my work. This time around, I want to ensure that the application truly complements the model and showcases the full extent of what I've learned and accomplished.
