Moving Forward

This week was packed but productive! First off, I finally finished my college applications—it was a long grind, but I’m so relieved to have that off my plate now. On top of that, I took on hosting duties for my dad's surprise birthday party since my mom was out of town. Pulling it together was fun, and it went off without a hitch!

On the ISM II front, I’ve been feeling much more confident in formatting, which is a huge win. However, I’ve noticed that I’ve gotten a bit complacent when it comes to reaching out to industry professionals. It’s something I need to work on, especially with how tough the current CS job market is. Competing with college students and graduates for shadowing positions feels especially frustrating right now, given how much easier it was to access these opportunities even just a year ago—let alone back in the peak CS job market around 2019.

Looking ahead, I’ll be focusing on pushing myself out of that comfort zone and getting back into proactive networking despite the market conditions.
