This week, I established Machine Learning applied to Healthcare as my official topic, and I delved into why I chose the topic in a Topic Proposal. I’m starting to worry a bit, as I have contacted a lot of people about mentorship, but I am getting few responses, whereas my peers are getting interviews every week. This has been a focal of my stress for the past week for ISM, and I will be ramping up my efforts to find a mentor. Junior year is starting to get harder, and I’m definitely feeling the heat. Between DECA, Robotics, ISM, CSUIL, volunteering, academics, and other competitions, I barely have time to breathe. A large part of this is my fault, as I don’t have the best focus when it comes to long periods of just work, but whenever I am passionate, I slip into a kind of hyperfocus. I’m just scared of working too hard right now and burning out before the spring semester, which is supposed to be much more stressful. I’ve stayed dedicated towards ISM in and out of class, and I can’t wait to see the fruits of my labor. In other news, the Business Symposium is approaching, an event where Industry professionals come to talk to students about their careers. I don’t really know what to expect, but nevertheless, I’m excited.
